Tean Butcher a partner of Wilkin Chapman LLP, practices in the field of military personal injury.
Tean, who qualified as a solicitor in 1993, has successfully represented many hundreds of Service personnel in all three Services and has achieved substantial settlements in many cases. Tean is a former President and currently a committee member of Forces Law, a national group of solicitors acting for Service personnel. He has responsibility for the military sector at Wilkin Chapman LLP.
Tean has an extensive experience in bringing claims against the Ministry of Defence involving all types of claim, including injuries sustained on exercise, injuries sustained in theatre and injuries sustained by Special Forces. Tean also has a special interest in medical negligence and cases involving Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Tean has advised in military accidents of every type including injuries sustained on training, noise induced hearing loss, negligent discharge of firearms and defective working equipment and kit failures.
Tean also advises on the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme (AFCS) and appeals.
