Steve graduated from the University of Bolton in 1998 with a BA (Hons) degree in history. After graduation, he worked for various solicitors' firms in Manchester where he qualified as a legal executive.
In 2003, Steve became a Chartered Legal Executive and, prior to joining Wilkin Chapman, was the head of personal injury at a firm in Cheshire.
Since joining Wilkin Chapman, Steve has continued his professional development, he completed the Graduate Diploma in Law in 2013, and the Legal Professional course in 2015, before qualifying as a solicitor in 2016. Steve has now, as of December 2017, been made a partner of the firm.
Steve currently manages three personal injury teams, dealing with the full range of personal injury cases for injured clients both locally as well as nationwide. He currently splits his time between the firms' Grimsby and Lincoln offices.
