Military

We understand that serving military personnel and their families give their lives to the Armed Forces. It’s more than just a job, it’s a way of life. We respect the contribution that you make and we’re here to support you.

The legal issues that arise in the Armed Forces are very often unique from those that arise for civilians. You need lawyers who have that unique experience and knowledge to guide you through any legal matters that might arise whilst serving or as a veteran.

How can we help?

We have a dedicated team of experts who have a wealth of experience in dealing with the intricate and specialist issues that arise for many of our serving personnel and veterans.

If you’ve been injured whilst serving, whether on tour or not, if you are having to deal with the threat of a Court Martial, if you are experiencing problems in the workplace or if, sadly, your family is struggling with marital breakdown, we are here to help you through.

We are proud to offer a 10% discount on our legal fees to all military serving personnel as well as those that are members of the Defence Discount Scheme.

Our Sector expertise includes:

Basic training injury

Heat injury

Heat illness remains a significant threat to troops and is a common military injury, but its severity is often underestimated. Each year heat injuries are sustained by military personnel, but these injuries are often preventable with the correct risk management. If you’re serving in the Armed Forces and fall victim to a heat injury due to a management issue, the MoD has failed its duty of care to you and you could be entitled to claim for compensation.

Noise-induced hearing loss

If you or a loved one has suffered through the negligence of the MoD while serving in the Armed Forces including the British Army, Royal Navy, or RAF whether on tour or not, you could be entitled to claim for compensation.

Through training to deployment, health can be affected by a number of causes. Noise-induced hearing loss (including tinnitus) is three and a half times more commonly occurring in veterans than the general population and can severely impact mental health.

Non-Freezing Cold Injury Claims

NFCI (also known as trench foot or non-freezing cold injury) remains a significant threat to troops and is a serious issue for the Armed Forces. While measures to prevent non-freezing cold injury (NFCI) lessen its occurrence and severity, it is the most common non-combat military injury and is often overlooked.
