Tom Martin is a solicitor within our employment team, working from our Lincoln office. Tom advises both employers and employees on all aspects of employment law, specifically day to day problems such as:
- disciplinary and grievance issues;
- employment contracts;
- policies and procedures;
- performance and sickness absence management;
- redundancy procedures;
- Settlement Agreements; and
- Tribunal claims involving issues such as unfair dismissal, discrimination and whistleblowing.
Tom also specialises in advising military personnel on armed forces/military employment law. This includes providing advice and assistance on service complaints, disciplinary/administrative action, discharge matters, early release applications, and bullying and harassment complaints.
Tom graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2013 with a 2:1 degree in Law and completed his Legal Practice Certificate, with a distinction, from Nottingham Law School in 2014. Tom qualified as a solicitor in September 2017, having completed his two year training contract with the firm, and has worked exclusively for the employment team since.
