One of the country’s largest regional law firms, Wilkin Chapman solicitors, has welcomed a new solicitor into its Lincoln office.
Specialising in Wills and Probate, Emma Oldfield is looking forward to progressing in her chosen field, following an early career working within a variety of different areas of law within the Local Government arena.
Her education at Gainsborough’s Queen Elizabeth’s High School, was followed by the successful completion of a Law degree at the University of Hull, during which her interest in the Probate area of the profession grew.
“I really enjoyed this area of study, it was something that just really appealed to me,” said Emma.
Following graduation, Emma continued her studies, undertaking her exams with the Institute of Professional Will Writers and, while working as a Paralegal, she completed her Legal Practice Course, (LPC) with the University of Law in Leeds on a part-time basis.
With Wills and Probate as her chosen area, she is now delighted to have secured a position with Wilkin Chapman, where she is based at the firm’s Lincoln office, on Brayford Wharf East, under the guidance of Partner and Head of Wills, Tax and Trusts Lisa-Jane Howes.
“I am already really enjoying the work with a very professional and supportive team, which is exactly what I wanted,” said Emma.
“Wilkin Chapman has a fantastic reputation, and what I relish most is the in-depth advice that we are able to offer, tailoring what we do to individuals’ needs. We look after our clients and have time for them,” she added.
Welcoming Emma to the team, Lisa-Jane said: “It is fantastic to have Emma on board. Having grown up in Lincolnshire it is wonderful too, to see a young professional settling down to enjoy a career and future in the county.”
