Legal agricultural experts blossomed into florists at this year’s Driffield Show to raise vital funds for the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution, (R.A.B.I.).
With a specialist expertise in the agriculture sector, Wilkin Chapman solicitors have an annual stand at the popular East Yorkshire show, and last year it hit on an idea to make and sell their own floral button holes with flowers gathered from solicitors’ gardens and fields.
Asking guests to the stand for a donation to R.A.B.I in return for a buttonhole they raised over £140 for the charity with their floral enterprise this year; raising necessary funds for the charity that offers support to farming families.
Senior Solicitor within the firm’s Agricultural Property team in Beverley, Amy Slocombe Smith said: “The Driffield Show is a real celebration of East Yorkshire’s rich agricultural history and I am delighted to report we surpassed last year’s fund-raising total, supporting this extremely worthy cause.”
