Newly-qualified Horncastle solicitor appointed to senior role

Horncastle-based legal professional, Steve Hennegan, is celebrating after achieving a rare industry feat - becoming a senior solicitor immediately after qualifying as a solicitor.

Steve was appointed to the role of senior solicitor at Horncastle-based law firm, Wilkin Chapman solicitors. Prior to joining Wilkin Chapman, Steve was the head of personal injury at a firm in Cheshire and was a Chartered Legal Executive.

Since joining Wilkin Chapman, Steve has continued his professional development. He completed the Graduate Diploma in Law in 2013, and the Legal Practice Course in 2015, before qualifying as a solicitor earlier this year and immediately taking up his senior post.

Claire Parker, partner at the law firm’s Horncastle office, said that Steve’s appointment reflected his knowledge and experience within the firm. She added: “It’s a great – and rare – feat to begin at this senior level; Steve has proved himself to be a skilled legal professional and a fantastic member of the team. He deserves every success.”Since joining Wilkin Chapman, Steve has continued his professional development. He completed the Graduate Diploma in Law in 2013, and the Legal Practice Course in 2015, before qualifying as a solicitor earlier this year and immediately taking up his senior post.

Steve is part of the personal injury and accidents department, and manages three personal injury teams, based at Horncastle and the firm’s Lincoln office. Steve and his teams oversee a full range of personal injury cases, such as road traffic accidents and accidents at work, for clients in the local area and further afield.

Steve said: “I’m very proud of what I’ve achieved since becoming a qualified solicitor. I’m looking forward to progressing my career and continuing to provide my clients with the very highest level of service.”
