Local talent leads law firm's new appointments

Senior solicitor, Jonathan Hyldon, and solicitors, Siobahn Drury and Angela Donovan, each bring a wealth of talent and expertise to the firm across a broad range of client services, tailored to meet the needs of both businesses and individuals.

Grimsby-born commercial property lawyer, Jonathan, has joined the firm after building his career in Yorkshire, including five years at John Gaunt & Partners in Sheffield as a licensing, regulatory and planning solicitor. Jonathan lives in Waltham with his young family and is relishing the opportunity to work in his home town.

Jonathan said: “Establishing and developing long-standing relationships with clients is, in my opinion, one of the most important roles of a solicitor. I am thrilled to be working in Grimsby for the first time in my career and to join a very well-respected firm like Wilkin Chapman, where I hope to forge such relationships locally.”

Siobahn Drury also hails from Grimsby and has joined Wilkin Chapman as litigation solicitor, following five years at a Hull-based firm. Siobahn specialises in property and general litigation.

The trio of new appointments is rounded off by Angela Donovan, also born in Grimsby, who has been appointed as a solicitor in its recoveries department. Angela is part of the dispute resolution team which specialises in debt-focused commercial litigation, handling all contested county court claims and other complex debt claims.

Speaking of the appointments, chief executive Des Mannion, said: “We’re extremely pleased to welcome Jonathan, Siobahn and Angela to our established team of talent at New Oxford House.

“All our new appointments are highly regarded in their respective areas of law after building their careers outside of the local area. They were aware of us as the largest law firm in the region, of our accreditations and our commitment to quality and training; we are fortunate to be able to boost our already strong team with their expertise.

“After a record year, we look forward to growing our team further this year and continuing to provide services of the highest calibre for our clients.”
