Wilkin Chapman Solicitors welcome new trainee solicitors

Lincolnshire law firm, Wilkin Chapman Solicitors, have appointed four new trainee solicitors: Limara Rickell, Tom Martin, Lucy Reding and Thomas Rook.

This year sees the law firm increase the number of trainee solicitors from four to eight, to reflect the structured growth and development plans of the firm, with the first tranche of four trainees having taken up their positions.

Limara Rickell studied law at King’s College London and then went on to continue her studies at BPP in Bristol. Whilst at University Limara visited Wilkin Chapman on work experience and was impressed by the firm’s working environment and a broad range of practice areas, which led to her decision to join the trainee programme. She joins the commercial property team in Lincoln working alongside partner, Peter Hanson.

Thomas Rook has been with the solicitors’ firm since graduating in 2012, working in the Grimsby-based busy recoveries department. He studied law, with criminology, at the University of Manchester, and completed his Legal Practice Certificate in 2014 – whilst working at the firm and studying part-time at the University of Sheffield. Tom joins the corporate and commercial team in Grimsby working alongside partner, Ian Sherburn, and senior solicitor, Adam Aisthorpe.

Lucy Reding has joined the firm’s personal injury team, based in Lincoln. She studied law and business studies at the University of Warwick and completed studies at the University of Sheffield in 2015. Lucy felt the small number of trainee intakes per year at Wilkin Chapman ensured the quality and variety of the trainee experience.

Tom Martin studied law at the University of Nottingham and then went on to Nottingham Law School, before applying for a trainee position with Wilkin Chapman. Tom joins the litigation team in Lincoln.

Commenting on the appointment of the trainees, chief executive, Des Mannion says: “We are delighted to welcome our first cohort of trainee solicitors for 2015. It is an exciting time for the firm, as we are expanding in a number of areas and will be taking on more trainee solicitors later this year.”
