Promotion to partner for debt recovery expert

Wilkin Chapman LLP has promoted Mark Taylor to the position of partner. Mark’s promotion comes eight months after he joined the Lincolnshire-based law firm as business development manager in the debt recovery and insolvency department.

The firm’s debt recovery and insolvency arm is going from strength to strength. It already has a strong presence and national reputation in the field of debt collection for the utility, local authority, commercial and debt purchase sectors; and earlier this year was further strengthened by merging with Carrick Read Solicitors, making it one of the few firms in the country with an authorised insolvency practitioner as one of its partners.

Mark has over 20 years’ experience of debt recovery experience, specialising in both consumer and commercial debt recovery and credit management for both public and private sector organisations. He is an active member of the County Court Users Association and played an active part in working groups which discussed legislative changes that were implemented in 2013. In addition Mark was recently named as one of the top 100 credit management professionals by Credit Today magazine – one of the industry’s leading journals.

Commenting on Mark’s promotion, Chris Grocock, partner and head of debt recovery and insolvency at Wilkin Chapman LLP, said: “Mark’s promotion marks his contribution to the team’s growth and development. His knowledge and expertise has brought another dimension to the services we offer clients.”

Mark added: “I’m delighted to have been promoted to partner and to have been actively involved in the department’s growth over the last eight months. I’m looking forward to 2014 and the challenges and prospects that it may bring within the debt recovery market.”
