Tony is a consultant non-solicitor with Wilkin Chapman Goolden. He retired from Lincolnshire Police in June 2011 after completing thirty years’ service and during his career, also served with Avon and Somerset Police and Lancashire Constabulary.
The majority of Tony's time was served as a detective working on divisional CID, major crime and within the covert policing arena but he also worked in uniform on divisions and as Head of Lincolnshire Police’s Operational Firearms Department. The last five years of his career were spent as the Detective Inspector, Head of the Serious and Organised Crime Unit within Lincolnshire Police.
Tony was a nationally trained and accredited surveillance officer for both conventional and technical surveillance as well as a trained covert senior investigating officer (SIO). He ran a number of successful investigations into serious organised crime as the SIO and also collaborated on operations with other regional units and the Serious Organised Crime Agency. He is well versed in matters connected to RIPA and all surveillance related issues. Tony was the Force lead on all covert matters and was responsible for advising colleagues and senior officers with regards to covert solutions as well as formulating policies and procedures in relation to covert working practices.
