Laura is an employment solicitor, based in our busy Lincoln office, specialising in agricultural employment matters.
Laura helps client manage and resolve employment issues with a balance of commercial sensitivity and tact, advising on a wide range of matters such as redundancy, whistleblowing and discrimination. Laura also and also assists, on an on-going basis, with human resource management essentials, including amendments to employee handbooks and advising on the implementation of new policies as well as a day-to-day advice on employment issues.
In her tribunal claims practice, she negotiates favourable outcomes for clients in a range of sectors from construction firms to technology giants, utilising methods such as judicial mediation and ACAS conciliation.
Graduating from the University of Reading in 2008 with an LLB (honors), Laura gained a distinction in her Legal Practice Course in 2010. She trained and qualified as a Solicitor in 2012 at a major international law firm in Birmingham before returning to her home county of Lincolnshire in 2016.
She is also a member of the management committee for the Lincolnshire Federation of Young Farmers Clubs.
Laura offers practical in-house experience, having completed a six month secondment during her training contract. Laura uses this perspective to give pragmatic advice on a full range of employment work, including tribunal claims, restrictive convenants, employment contracts, policies and settlement agreements.
