Kimberley is a trainee legal executive and a member of our Commercial debt recovery team. She works with commercial clients that need support in recovering multiple cases of debt, in and around the area.
Working mainly for the Firm's Client Canal and River Trust, Kim supports the recovery of funds for licence and mooring fees. She carries out a variety of jobs from letters to enforcement and drafting applications. She works closely with the client to meet their targets for bad debt recovery, and also monitor payment plans and communicate with their debtors. Kimberley also advises the Client on how best to proceed in different circumstances in the most cost effective way.
Working also predominantly for the Client A-Z, she covers all the above to help recover debts on unpaid goods such as fish to unpaid crane fees and more. Kimberley puts together letters before action is taken, liaise with the clients and debtors, monitor installments, issue court proceedings if necessary and proceed with enforcement proceedings, for example High Court Enforcement Officers, Attachment of Earnings and charging orders. She makes all the applications for these and liaises with the court.
She is currently taking her CILEx exams to qualify as a Chartered Legal Executive.
Joining Wilkin Chapman in February 2015, Kimberley worked as a receptionist for 3 months before moving into the recoveries team. She went on to work for the Credit Union Team for 2 years before moving into the Commercial recoveries department in June 2017.
