Gino is a Regulatory Executive in the Public Law Department and has an extensive and varied litigation background. He is a pragmatic and proactive litigator with a wide range of experience across the private and public sectors. Recent cases include: judicial reviews against public bodies; public procurement work involving multi-million pound contracts; privacy claims; and data protection claims under the Data Protection Act 2018 & General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
In addition to the above, Gino regularly advises small and medium-size businesses, Multi Academy Trusts (MATs), Local Authorities and global organisations on information governance and compliance under the UK data protection legislation.
Through his regulatory work with Clinical Commissioning Groups and Social Enterprises, Gino has a reported case in the Court of Protection which has given much needed clarification on the interpretation and application of section 19(2) Mental Capacity Act 2005 for office holders appointed as deputies - Re SH  EWCOP 21.
