On this British Farming Day, Wilkin Chapman proudly reaffirms its commitment to supporting the farmers and growers of Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire, standing alongside the National Farmers' Union (NFU) in the "Back British Farming" campaign. This campaign is 'an opportunity to celebrate British farming values and highlight the importance of agriculture to our rural communities and wider society'.

We are one of 16 panel firms specifically selected by the NFU for our experience and expertise in agricultural and horticultural matters. Since 2008, Wilkin Chapman have provided legal assistance to NFU members in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. Our advice is independent of the NFU but comes with the added benefits offered by subscription to the NFU’s Legal Assistance Scheme.

Importance of farming and food

Greater Lincolnshire is responsible for growing 30% of the nation's vegetables and producing 18% of the poultry. Our region processed much of the country's fresh produce and there are arable, meat and poultry processors spread across the area.

Food and farming is vital for our local and national economy and at Wilkin Chapman we do all we can to support this essential industry.

Supporting the agriculture and food sectors

We work in conjunction with the NFU’s Legal Assistance Scheme (LAS) which provides professional guidance as well as financial support towards legal (and professional) costs in relation to a range of legal matters. LAS support is available to all NFU members who subscribe to the scheme and need legal advice in respect of all aspects of their farming or growing business.

Each year Wilkin Chapman’s NFU clients benefit from thousands of pounds in discounts on legal services and advice. This is in addition to the direct financial contributions offered by the NFU.

  • 12.5% discount for all NFU farmer and grower members in instructions relating directly to the members businesses as farmers and growers
