Tom Furneaux

Tom Furneaux is a senior associate in the commercial property team based in our Grimsby office.

He joined Wilkin Chapman in November 2012 and studied alongside his career. He completed the CILEX course in 2018 before studying for a Graduate Diploma in Law in 2020, and furthering his education at DeMontfort University in 2022, where he graduated with a distinction from the Legal Practice Course.

Key specialisms

Tom specialises in residential development primarily focusing on:

• Site set-ups

• Statutory infrastructure agreements including S104, S38, S278, S185, and S50

• Utility agreements, transfers, deeds of easement and wayleaves for site energisation

• Management company advice

• Post-development matters including managed areas advice; and

• General commercial property work

Tom specialises in residential development for both local and national builders.

He can deliver expert and timely advice relating to a whole host of residential development-related issues including complex site set-ups and infrastructure-related matters to both small-scale and national PLC listed builders.
