Lisa-Jane Howes

Lisa-Jane is a partner at our Lincoln office and head of department for our private client team, dealing with Wills, estates, tax and trusts.

Lisa-Jane acts for high net worth clients with complex estates, particularly those involving business and agricultural assets. She is a pension trustee of a staff pension scheme, advises on private client issues for contentious probate matters, and takes on a management and consultancy role within the firm, leading the private client team across all Wilkin Chapman offices.

She specialises in:

• Inheritance tax and administration of estates

• Inheritance tax planning

• Agricultural property relief and business property relief

• Pensions in a trustee capacity

Lisa-Jane has over 20 years' experience in dealing with wills, inheritance tax planning, trusts and probates and is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

She is also a Level 2 LIVES responder for Lincolnshire.

Her career started when she graduated from Oxford Brookes University (1992), then qualified at the College of Law in Chester (1994), achieving a distinction for the legal practice course. She took on a training contract within the Lincolnshire Crown Prosecution Service in 1996, and then worked at Eversheds (Nottingham), tax department, before joining Wilkin Chapman in 2001.
