About Lesley

Lesley Archer is a partner in the Wills, estates, tax & trusts team based in our Beverley office.

She qualified as a solicitor in 1994 and, with 24 years of experience, now specialises in all aspects of estate and succession planning. This includes complex wills and inheritance tax planning and the creation and administration of trusts. Lesley regularly advises farmers and business owners with regard to these issues and has spoken numerous times at our agricultural seminars.

Lesley administers all types of estates, dealing with complex tax implications, intestacies and foreign aspects and often acts as an executor. She has particular experience in advising families where disabilities are an issue. In addition to this, she deals with powers of attorney, deputyship orders and other Court of Protection applications as well as care home fee planning.

She is a fully qualified member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), a member of the Law Society's Probate Section and a member of Women in Business. In addition, Lesley is also a governor at East Riding College.

Lesley has also won the Private Client award in the Yorkshire Lawyer Awards 2013. The award is in recognition of her work with clients and the establishment of Beverley's largest wills, trust and probate department. Lesley was presented with her award at a glittering ceremony which took place on 2 October 2013.
