Elizabeth Gilliatt

Elizabeth Gilliatt is a Partner within the Grimsby recoveries department specialising in debt focused commercial litigation.

Liz qualified as a solicitor and joined Wilkin Chapman in 2005 initially as a criminal defence solicitor, later joining the recoveries’ department in 2008 and developing a successful dispute resolution offering with a recoveries focus. Liz became a Senior Solicitor in 2011 and a Partner in 2013.

She continues to manage the dispute resolution and the wider utilities team within our recoveries department. Liz remains very hands on with cases, handling high value and complex debt disputes across many different business streams for local and national clients. She has significant experience of dealing with utilities disputes, having acted for a number of big six energy companies over the past 12 years.
