Wolds' businesses invited to free employment law seminar

Wolds’ businesses are being invited to attend the first of a series of free employment law breakfast seminars, hosted by Wilkin Chapman solicitors. The seminar takes place on Tuesday 22 March 2016 at the Conoco Rooms, Louth Library.

Recognising the need for businesses to remain up to date with employment law legislation, Wilkin Chapman solicitors are running a series of free employment law seminars. The Louth seminar is the first seminar aimed at businesses in the Lincolnshire Wolds and it is hoped that it will be the first of many.

Katie Davies, partner and employment law expert at Wilkin Chapman solicitors, will be speaking at the seminar and providing employers with practical tips on how to tackle and manage issues of short-term and intermittent absence. Commenting on the seminar, Katie says: “Dealing with staff absence can be a thorny issue for many businesses and it’s important to ensure that issues caused by absence are dealt with quickly and fairly.

“The seminar will provide attendees with a practical overview of what employers can and can’t do regarding staff absence. It’s also a great opportunity for business people to network, enjoy a light breakfast and still be in the office by mid-morning.”

The seminar starts at 8am and aims to finish by 9.30am. Bookings are free of charge and can be made online.
