Leading law firm Wilkin Chapman supported Lincoln Law School this week in bringing human rights experts from across the globe to the city, to discuss key issues around environmental rights.
The Standards in Environmental Rights Symposium brought academics from around the world together to address the development of standards within environmental rights, which aim to ensure that every human being has access to a safe and sustainable environment.
The delegation of speakers, who flew in to Lincolnshire from as far away as Argentina and South Africa, took a tour of Lincoln Castle and had a private visit of the Magna Carta vaults, before the symposium at Lincoln University’s Law School.
The symposium, which was open to university students and the wider public, was well-attended and also included speakers from Portugal and the USA.

There was a fantastic response to the event, which stimulated some important discussions and could potentially impact on human rights policy globally.”
