Record intake of trainees join expanding local law firm
One of the region’s largest law firms, Wilkin Chapman solicitors, has taken on a record intake of new graduates, as the firm continues to expand.
Trainee solicitors, Jade Curran and Tom Munday, have relocated from Northumberland and Surrey respectively to join Wilkin Chapman’s office in Lincoln, where they’ll work alongside fellow trainee, Jonathan Mackinder, who hails from the Lincolnshire area. A fourth trainee, Ben Woodward has moved from Newcastle upon Tyne and is the latest recruit at Wilkin Chapman’s main Grimsby office.
The quartet will cover areas including family law, personal injury & accidents and litigation, enhancing the service of the firm, which currently has 400 employees in eight offices across Lincolnshire and Yorkshire. All four trainees said the friendliness of the Wilkin Chapman team and the career opportunities available were key reasons that drew them to the firm over its competitors.
Des Mannion, chief executive, Wilkin Chapman said: “We’ve been incredibly impressed by the passion and commitment that Jade, Jonathan, Tom and Ben have shown since joining us to complete their training contracts.
“Here at Wilkin Chapman, we’re very proud of our track record in supporting trainees, which is demonstrated by the high number of them who stay with us to progress their careers once they qualify. We feel this reflects our dedication to investing in new talent, and our reputation in the industry.
“We wish Jade, Jonathan, Tom and Ben every success as they embark on this important stage in their careers.”
