"From the moment I walked into the new headquarters of Wilkin Chapman, I was impressed by the professionalism and ambition that is at the very heart of this firm.

There is a real drive to be one of the Top 100 law firms in the country, with a continued growth of the national portfolio. In fact, the size of the offer here would surprise many. It is a firm with a big city feel, and that is certainly one of the factors that attracted me.

However, as large as the firm is, it is with immense credit to all the teams, that they remain at the heart of regional and local business growth in all areas and continue to be leaders in their field across Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire.

Having said all the above, I think my delight at joining the team here at Wilkin Chapman, is clear. In the coming months, I will be working closely with my fellow Partner and Head of Commercial Property Ruth Brewin to take this sector area forward and I look forward to meeting existing clients, while welcoming new.

Again, I was taken by the professionalism in this area. Take, for example, the house building sector– from land purchase to plot sale, it is a very slick and efficient process, which puts the clients first.

As I settle into this new and exciting role, I will be spending my time at the offices in Grimsby and Lincoln, the latter being my home city.

As a professional working and living in Lincolnshire, I am a real advocate of the power of networking and was at the forefront of establishing a premier businesswomen’s networking club in Lincoln. This is another area that I am keen to promote and pursue.

When it comes to my spare time, I am a keen runner – and, of course, it is wonderful to have the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside in which to indulge my hobby!"
