Grimsby law firm, Wilkin Chapman Grange, has donated £250 to replace the stolen charity tins from the Pink Rose Unit.
The local firm of solicitors were shocked at the news of the theft of collection tins from the Pink Rose Unit at Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital as reported in the Grimsby Telegraph on 11 September.
Mark Carlton, senior partner of the solicitors firm, said, “The news of this theft is appalling. The unit relies on fundraising to support its development and for someone to think that it is acceptable to just walk away with money that people have generously donated to help the unit it just deplorable.”
Mark Carlton, along with Gill Anderson - accounts clerk who is responsible for so much of the firm's fundraising activities - presented Sandeep Joglekar, consultant from the Pink Rose Appeal with a cheque for £250 to replace the money stolen.
Wilkin Chapman Grange, along with its staff, work tirelessly to support both local and national charities. With events such as the Macmillan Coffee morning and the Wear it Pink appeal and fundraising for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research, over the last year, the firm has raised in excess of £1,500.
Mark Carlton continued to say, “We sincerely hope this donation will go a small way to assisting the amazing work of the volunteer fundraisers for the Pink Rose Unit.”
