Beverley Solicitor Named Top Private Client Lawyer at Regional Awards ceremony

Beverley solicitor, Lesley Archer, has been recognised as the region’s top private client lawyer at a glittering regional awards ceremony. Lesley is a partner at Cooper Wilkin Chapman, and she won the ‘Private Client Award’ at the prestigious Yorkshire Lawyer Awards 2013.

Now in their thirteenth year, the awards bring together the region’s legal community to recognise and celebrate the achievements of the talented individuals and firms that make up the region’s legal sector. The ‘Private Client Award’ category recognises the legal work and dedication to clients of those solicitors/legal firms who work with individuals.

Working within Beverley’s largest wills, trust and probate department, Lesley was recognised for her outstanding commitment to quality and her estates and succession planning work with high net worth individuals. The judges were particularly impressed with Lesley’s notable experience in advising families with disabled beneficiaries, farmers and business owners on arranging their affairs in an efficient way for inheritance tax and in passing assets to the next generation. Her advice and expertise in complex wills, inheritance tax planning and the creation and administration of trusts were also recognized.

Commenting on her win, Lesley said: “It’s a fantastic feeling for your work to be recognised amongst your peers. Winning the award has really served as testament to all the hard work I’ve undertaken over the last 10 years in developing private client work in Beverley.”

Lesley is also a well-known speaker at farming seminars and she regularly speaks and presents at local charity events, business and networking groups and groups for the other 50s. Based at Cooper Wilkin Chapman’s offices at the Hall, Lairgate, Lesley can be contacted on 01482 398398.
