A Silver Lining for Every Crowd?

Under this ‘silver quota’, the businesses say they will increase the number by 12% over the next five years and they will publish the relevant data. According to the Telegraph, it’s part of the Government’s initiative to get an extra one million roles for older workers in the UK by 2022.

We’re living in an ageing society; that much is certain. Business in the Community has warned that the UK will not meet its growth and productivity objectives without retaining, recruiting and developing the over 50s. The charity is calling on all UK employers to make the same 12% commitment.
